Ubuntu: Record Screen Activity (screencast) with Eidete
Eidete a new project is actually intended for Elementary project. This application is useful for recording activity on our computer screen (screencast). Applications that are similar to Eidete include RecordMyDesktop and Kazaam Screencaster GTK (Linux), or Camtasia Studio (Windows). Here are some features of Eidete:
Able to record to video formats can be uploaded directly WebM so on YouTube.
The ability to choose which areas to be recorded
The ability to display a keyboard button is pressed on the screen
recording sound
Installation in Ubuntu
Ubuntu users Oneiric Ocelot 11.10 and 12.04 the next Ubuntu version Precise pangolin can install Eidete by typing the following command in Terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: shnatsel / eidete-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install eidete
Keep in mind, Eidete still in early development stage. Surely there will be bugs and there are some features that are not yet functioning.
