Tips to Identification Linux distributions (Debian / Ubuntu Family)
This article will show how to use the lsb_release command to identify occupied linux distro.
lsb_release is the command to present the distro specific info and LSB (Linux Standard Base). You can use this command to identify and obtain information Linux distribution being used.
If you want to see id’s distributor, distribution’s version, release number and codename of Linux you are using, run the following command in the terminal.
lsb_release-a
Or,
lsb_release –all
The above command will display the version, the distributors’s id, release number and codename of Linux who are being used as shown in skrinsut above.
