Remote Android Via Wifi using SSH (Putty)

Prior to practice, there are several prerequisites that must be met:

1. Having a remote host (android phone that will be targeted / ssh server)

2. Android phone is already in the root (please search on google for you to perform root in android).

3. Having a remote tool (Here used putty.exe which feature a remote ssh)

Konfirugasi Remote Host (SSH Server):

1. Look at the Android Market application called SSHDroid

or you can simply find it here https: / / market.android.com / details? id = berserker.android.apps.sshdroid

2. Install SSHDroid on your android. Run

3. When first run, appeared dialog request root access / SU, click allow for the permit.

4. If there is no problem, it will display as below

If there are problems at the start, for example, appears erorr message “no wifi connection”, this is usually caused by other applications that do disable the wifi,, as in this case, disable the wifi access point applications Barnacle tether, so it appears an error message , as in the picture into two.

To fix this, select Options>> remove the option Require Wifi.

Preparation Remote Host Done.

Configuring the SSH Client Terminal.

For the client side, you can use many applications. one used here is putty.exe. Immediately,

1. Open the putty application, enter the following info.

Hostname: (IP listed on the host) in this case 182.8.96.128

Port: (The numbers are in addition to the IP) in this case 22

2. Make sure the protocol used is SSH (Secure Shell)

3. Click Open

Following dialog will appear, press Yes

Enter Username, in this case root, and then the password, in this case admin. Password settings are in SSHDroid>> Options>> password

Here’s the view after we entered. The # indicates that we are signed in as super user (root).
