Prototype Sony Bravia: New Technology Innovation, Crystal LED

At CES 2012 this time in addition to releasing Blu-Ray product line and latest Bravia TVs, Sony also showed off a prototype Sony Bravia 55 inch size. What makes this TV special? This is the first to carry the Bravia TV Crystal Clear technology, a new panel technology that is expected to revolutionize the entire Sony flat screen TV in the future.

Currently LCD panel technology generally comes with a backlit LED technology. The principle works, an LCD panel that consists of thousands of RGB pixel will be illuminated by LED lights. Then, the panel will display the visual images on your television.

Well with Crystal Clear technology, Sony has changed the way TV is working by replacing each pixel RGB LED light directly illuminated by colored LED lights that includes RGB Red, Green and Blue.

Implementation of LED lights as a visual medium can be seen in the usual football stadium show score or draw animation. But what sets it apart is the number of LED lights is used. In a resolution of Full HD 1080p Television Crystal Clear technology there will be about 6 million LED lights. According to Sony, the visual images produced will be sharper, have better color contrast and has a point of view of up to 90-degrees.

Given this product is still a prototype; there is no certainty whether the Bravia will be produced and sold en masse.
