Duke Nukem Forever was originally developed by 3D Realms in 1997. Later this game was developed after many years but never finished; the game was finally declared ‘GAME OVER’ by 3D Realms in 2009. Plus after that 3D Realms, involved in a legal case with game publisher Take Two Interactive-related making Duke Nukem Forever.

But finally, Gearbox took over development Duke Nukem Forever since the end of 2009. And the President of Gearbox was finally sure that Duke Nukem is not dead. And ready to kill the monsters again.
The third chapter in the Duke Nukem series and the first with 3D perspective, Duke Nukem 3D is set at the beginning of the 21st century, in a ravaged LA, followed by aliens. Then, you as the Duke are abducted during Duke Nukem II. Duke, upon returning to Earth, finds himself with another mess, which is clean and eradicate alien race.
